Student benefits
All students studying at the University of Thessaly receive:
- Free textbooks (approximately 300-1000 Euros per semester)
- Subsidized phone and internet access (approximately 15 Euros per month)
- Subsidized transportation both locally and regionally (between 25% and 50% off full-fare)
- Subsidized housing (if the yearly family income is less than 30,000 Euros)
- Low cost meals (three meals for 3.5 Euros per day)
If specific financial criteria are met, students are further eligible for:
- Free housing
- Free meals
- Full tuition waiver for Master’s programs
The University has instituted approximately 200 tax free fellowships for Ph.D. students, each paying 6,000 Euros per year.
