The University of Thessaly is a center of the educational and scientific life of the Region. There are many events open to the public, with the Researcher’s Night being the highlight.

The University of Thessaly participates every year in the Researcher’s Night. According to the official description, “the European Researcher’s Night is a pan-European public event, showcasing the diversity of science and its impact on the daily lives of citizens in fun and inspiring ways. The European Researchers’ Night aims to bring research and researchers closer to the public, to promote outstanding research projects across Europe and beyond, to increase young people’s interest in science and research careers, and to highlight the impact of researchers’ work on people’s daily lives.” The event takes place every year in all cities of the University of Thessaly (Volos, Larissa, Lamia, Karditsa, Trikala).
