The University\u2019s Action Plan and Strategic Vision emphasise research and innovation, technology transfer, and digital transformation as pillars for regional development. This is operationalised through structures such as <a href=\"https:\/\/oneplanet.uth.gr\/\">One Planet Thessaly<\/a> that provides expert support in project development, IP management, consortia building and exploitation strategies across Horizon Europe, Erasmus+ and other programmes.<\/p>\n<p>UTH coordinates and participates in several major European projects at the interface of innovation and infrastructure: ARSINOE (climate-resilient regions), NEXOGENESIS (AI-enabled nexus policies), NEXUSNET (network on the water\u2013energy\u2013food nexus), and DiBluCa (Digital Blue Carrier for a Post-Carbon Future in aquaculture) all develop advanced digital tools, decision-support systems and innovative curricula that serve public authorities, industry and civil society.(<a href=\"https:\/\/arsinoe-project.eu\">ARSINOE Project<\/a>) These projects frequently involve living labs and pilot applications in real-world infrastructure systems.<\/p>\n<p>Infrastructure investments on UTH campuses\u2014including new student residences and modernised facilities\u2014are designed to be energy-efficient, accessible and digitally connected, aligning with SDG9\u2019s emphasis on sustainable, resilient infrastructure that supports innovation and learning.(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/home\/work-with-us\/projects\/psd\/55083.html\">EBRD<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sdg.uth.gr\/en\/17-3\">Overall SDG Report<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SDG 9 \u2013 Industry, Innovation &amp; Infrastructure Innovation is a defining characteristic of UTH\u2019s strategy and governance.
